The stadium underwent renovation through 2007-2009, with a renovation cost of $250 million. The venue was named after Ewing Kauffman, who first owned the Royals and was the founder as well. The primary tenant of the venue is Kansas City Royals (1973-present). The biggest attendance at the stadium was recorded to be about 41,860.
