The Dome at America’s Center is a multi-purpose stadium located at 701 Convention Plaza, St. Louis, Missouri. The stadium was opened to the general public on November 12, 1995, with a seating capacity of around 67,277 people at a time. The arena is owned by St. Louis Regional Sports Authority and operated by St. Louis Convention/Visitors Bureau. The architecture of the stadium was designed by HOK Sport (Now Populous) and Kennedy Associates/Architects Inc. The stadium was previously known as the Trans World Dome (1995-2001) and later as Edward Jones Dome (2002-2016).
The St. Louis Rams of the National Football League (now the Los Angeles Rams) were the first tenants of this stadium which used this stadium for almost twenty-one seasons. The stadium has also hosted five NFC playoffs. It hosted a friendly soccer match on October 13, 2007. The 2005 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four was played at the stadium in April 2005. The NCAA Men’s Basketball Regional has taken place at the stadium four times. It has also hosted the Big 12 Conference football championship game where Nebraska faced Texas in the year 1996. The stadium hosts hundreds of events throughout the year.
Some famous artists who have performed at the stadium are Taylor Swift who performed during her Taylor Swift’s Reputation Stadium Tour on September 18, 2018. Metallica performed during their Summer Sanitarium Tour on July 25, 2003, and One Direction has also played at the stadium during their Where We Are Tour on August 27, 2014.
