Boone Pickens Stadium, formerly known as Lewis Field, is located at 700 West Hall of Fame Avenue, Stillwater, Oklahoma. It is the official home field of the Oklahoma State University Cowboys football team. Built at the cost of $50,000, Boone Pickens Stadium opened its door for the general public on October 2, 1920. It has a seating capacity of around 55,509 people. The venue is owned and operated by Oklahoma State University. The renovation architecture of the building was designed by Gary Sparks in 2003 and 2009. In 2003, Lewis Field has officially renamed Boone Pickens Stadium.

An all-time attendance record for the stadium is 51,458 for the 1979 Bedlam Series game. The field hosted an NFL exhibition game on August 7, 1976, between the Atlanta Falcons and the Cleveland Browns. The stadium also hosted the Houston Gamblers and the Oklahoma Outlaws of the USFL professional football league in 1984. The #9 Oklahoma State Cowboys played against #13 Georgia Bulldogs in front of a crowd of 53,012 people in September 2009. The stadium achieved its highest record of 60,218 fans on November 23, 2013, when the Cowboys defeated the No.3-ranked Baylor team with 49-17. On May 6, 2006, during the Spring Commencement exercises at the venue, President George W. Bush delivered the commencement address at Oklahoma State University.
