The Nassau Coliseum, also known as the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum or The Coliseum, is located at 1255 Hempstead Turnpike, Uniondale, New York, USA. The venue is a multi-purpose indoor arena with a seating capacity of 16,800 for Concerts, 14,500 for Basketball, 13,917 Ice Hockey, and 6,500 for Tennis. The venue is under the ownership of Nassau County and operated by Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. It also has 32 executive suits. Nassau Coliseum was inaugurated on February 11, 1972, with a construction cost of US$32 million.
The architectural work of the arena is done by Welton Becket and Associates, and it underwent renovations from the year 2015-2017. It was reopened on March 31, 2017, after the latest renovation. The Coliseum is used for sporting events, trade shows, exhibitions, and concerts.
