The Wilbur Theatre is one of the historic performing arts theatres in the United States which is located at 244-250 Tremont Street, Boston, Massachusetts. The theatre was opened in 1913 with a seating capacity of 1,093 people at a time. The theatre was built by Clarence Blackall and was designated by the Boston Landmarks Commission as a Boston Landmark in 1987. In the year 1980, the place got listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Wilbur Theatre was bought in 1998 by SFX Entertainment which is now known as the “Live Nation,” as the property of Jon B. Platt and it included the lease on Wilbur.

The theatre is well-known for various events as well as select popular comedy theatres and music shows. Some of the famous comics that were filmed at the theatre are Strange Times on October 2, 2018, Boyish Girl Interrupted on August 22, 2015, Obsesses on April 27, 2014, Losin’ It on February 26, 2011, Bigger and Blacker on May 25, 2010, Bare on August 29, 2014, Straight White Male 60 on November 4, 2016, etc.
