First Interstate Arena is also known as the Metra. It is a multi-purpose arena which is located at the Metrapark, Billings, Montana, USA. It can house around 12000 people. This place hosts various sports events, musical concerts and much more. Moreover, it has hosted professional sporting competitions. The arena was refurbished in 2010 and 2011 with a budget of $27 million. It has now more restrooms and concession areas, improved acoustics, and easier access from the parking areas. When it was still under construction, Elton John played the first concert here.
It was in 1975, this arena was completed and named METRA (Montana Entertainment Trade and Recreation Arena). In 2007, the naming rights were sold to the Rimrock Auto Group, and it was renamed as Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark. The First Interstate Arena has contemporary aesthetics, which makes it an energy-efficient building. In 209, First Interstate Bank purchased the naming rights, and the new name of the arena would be First Interstate Arena at MetraPark. This arena hosts 9-12 concerts annually which include concerts of the Eagles, Beach Boys, Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood, Black Sabbath, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Foreigner, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Merle Haggard, Metallica, and much more.
