The Fox Theatre in Detroit is a performing arts center which is located at 2211 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, United States. It is a live event venue with a capacity of 5,174. It was opened to the public in 1928 as a movie palace included in the Fox Theatre chain. This place is under the ownership of Olympia Entertainment and designed by the famous theatre architect named C. Howard Crane.

The Fox theatre was added to the list of National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and was honored with a National Historic Landmark in 1989. The area around the theatre is known by the nickname of Foxtown and includes Fox theatre along with Woodward Avenue, Fisher Theatre, and the Grand Circus Park Historic District. The Detroit Fox Theater is considered one of the five spectacular Fox Theatres built in the 1920s by William Fox (film pioneer).

This movie palace is the largest of the original Fox Theatres along with the largest surviving one of the 1920s. The theatre was completely renovated in the 1980s and was reopened in November of 1988. The seating levels in the theatre are divided into three parts, the Main Floor above the orchestra pit, the Mezzanine, and the Gallery or the balcony.

The productions at the theatre include shorts and newsreels, 60-piece Fox Theatre Grand Orchestra performances, Tillerettes, 3 performances by Elvis Presley, a concert of Joe Williams and the Count Basie Orchestra, and much more.
