The Gallo Center for the Arts is a famous performing arts center located in Modesto, California. The venue broke ground in 2004 and was officially opened for the public on September 27, 2007. The Gallo Center is situated at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto. The building features two theaters, the first of which is the Mary Stuart Rogers Theater, with a seating capacity of 1,200. The second theater is the Foster Family Theater, with a seating capacity of 400.

The Gallo Center is known for hosting six resident companies: the Modesto Community Concerts Association, the Modesto Symphony Orchestra, Central West Ballet, YES (Youth Entertainment Stage) Company, Modesto Performing Arts, and Opera Modesto. There is a massive quantity of stars and notable figures who have visited the performing arts center since its opening day.

The first to perform at the Mary Stuart Rogers Theater was Patti LuPone. Many touring Broadway shows have also performed at the Gallo Center for the Arts. This includes some old shows like Evita and Cats and, more recently, Shrek: The Musical. The Gallo Center is also known for providing year-round performing arts experiences for youth grades K-6. The venue features hour-long sessions twice each week that explore musical theaters, playwriting, exploring acting, and singing.
