The Macon City Auditorium is a historical structure situated at 415-435 1st St., Macon, Georgia. This historic structure was built and first opened its doors for the general public in 1925. The auditorium is designed in a similar Classical style where three of the venue sides are surrounded by limestone. It was designed by Egerton Swartwout (primary), Dennis & Dennis (associate). On the inside, the Great Hall seats 2,688 total and a balcony with 988 fixed seats. Its unique copper dome is claimed by many locals to be the largest in the world. In 1971, The Macon City Auditorium was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Municipal Auditorium. The ceiling of the auditorium’s Great Hall is a giant mural painted by Don Carlos Dubois and Wilbur Kurtz, representing the history of Macon from DeSoto's arrival in 1540, to World War I.
The venue has hosted several musical artists, including The Mighty O'Jays, Gladys Knight, KC, Gov't Mule, and The Sunshine Band. It has also served host to banquets, receptions, exhibitions, balls, conferences, meetings, and other events.

The Box Office of the Macon City Auditorium is open on event days only for the ticket purchases and is located on the First Street side of the Auditorium building. You can also buy tickets online for the upcoming events at a flexible discounted rate by visiting TicketsOnSale.com now.
