Joe Aillet Stadium is an American college football stadium that was formerly known as Louisiana Tech Stadium. It is located in Ruston, Louisiana, and serves as a home field to the Louisiana Tech University Bulldogs' football team. The team competes in Conference USA. The stadium opened on September 28, 1968, and is owned and operated by Louisiana Tech University. Currently, Joe Aillet Stadium has a seating capacity of 28,562. From 1968 to 2005, the stadium had a grass surface, but since 2006, it has a FieldTurf surface.
In 1972, the stadium was renamed from Tech Stadium to its current name in honor of Joe Aillet, the longtime head football coach and athletic director of Louisiana Tech who died on December 28, 1971. The official dedication ceremonies of the Joe Aillet Stadium were held on November 11, 1972, during a home football game between Eastern Michigan and Tech.
In 2002, the first nationally televised game at the stadium was played against the Fresno State Bulldogs. The team achieved an upset victory by beating the 17th-ranked Bulldogs during an October 2004 rematch. The first-ever visit from a BCS conference to Joe Aillet Stadium was witnessed in 2007 when the home team defeated the Mississippi State University Bulldogs.
