The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center is a multi-purpose indoor arena located at 505 West Pensacola Street, Tallahassee, Florida. The venue was opened to the public on September 14, 1981, with a seating capacity of around 11,675 at the main hall, 6,000-13,500 for Concerts, and 9,450 for Hockey.
The place is owned by the FSU Board of Trustees and operated by Spectra by Comcast Spectacor. The architecture of the arena was designed by Barrett, Daffin and Carlan, Inc. The renovation of the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center took place in the years 1998-1999, and 2014-2016. The venue has hosted WWE SmackDown!, WCW Thunder, and WWE Live Events!.
It has been a home venue to the Tallahassee Thunder of AF2 and Tallahassee Scorpions soccer team of EICL. The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center serves home to Florida States Seminoles men’s and women’s basketball teams also. In 2007, it was home to the Tallahassee Titans of the American Indoor Football League. The most famous “Rush,” during their Signals Tour, performed at this venue on April 9, 1982. On April 3, 1985, “Prince” performed during their Purple Rain Tour. Also, Lil Wayne and Rich Homie Quan performed at the venue on October 28, 2016.
