Arthur L. Williams Stadium is a football stadium located at 1972 University Boulevard, Lynchburg, Virginia. It is situated on the campus of the University of Liberty. The Arthur L. William stadium was formerly known as Willard May Stadium. The stadium was built and opened to the general public on October 21, 1989, with a construction cost of $18 million. It has a seating capacity of 25,000 people and has future potential to expand past 60,000. The stadium was named in honor of Arthur L. Williams, Jr., who was a significant contributor to the University's betterment. Haken/Corley and Associates of Raleigh, N.C. designed the architecture of the stadium. The venue is under the ownership and is operated by the University of Liberty. It underwent renovations in the years 2010, 2011, 2017, and 2018.
Arthur L. Williams Stadium serves home to Liberty Flames Football, which is a part of the NCAA Division I – Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The facility provides offices for coaches, locker rooms, meeting rooms, training facilities, as well as a 16,000 square foot weight room.
