The Bakersfield Fox Theatre, which is commonly known as the Fox Theatre, is located at 2001 H Street, Bakersfield, California. The arena opened on December 25, 1930. It has a seating capacity of around 1,500 people. The venue is owned and operated by the Fox Theater Foundation. S. Charles Lee designed the architecture of the theater.

The theatre showed its first sci-fi movie on its opening day that was Just Imagine. The latest "talkie" pictures were also featured on the silver screen of the theatre. The arena has been used for numerous acts such as world-renowned soprano Kirsten Flagstad in 1939; native Metropolitan Opera baritone of the Bakersfield "Lawrence Tibbett in 1933; and Arthur Rubinstein in 1940 who was a classical pianist. The arena has been honored with some prominent named artists who have performed here including B.B. King, Fred Hammond, Adam Carolla, Cyndi Lauper, Larry the Cable Guy, Carlos Mencia, Tony Bennett, Kevin Smith, and so many others.

It has also presented some of the movie premiers including Holes (2003), Phenomenon (1996), and Bobby (2006).
