The Lakefront Arena or the UNO Lakefront Arena is a multi-purpose arena which is located at 6801 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana. The venue was opened in 1982 for the general public, and it has a seating capacity of around 8,933 people at a time. The arena is owned and operated by the University of New Orleans. After colossal destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, the Lakefront Arena held its grand re-opening. The very first event that was performed at this venue was by Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour.

The arena hosted the memorable basketball game between Larry Bird and the Atlanta Hawks where Larry Bird scored a career-high of 60 points, which took place on March 12, 1985. The Harlem Globetrotters have also played at the arena. In September 2000, the UNO Lakefront Arena hosted the UFC 27. The venue has also hosted many national and state-level swimming events including National Championships, Junior Olympics, LHSAA State meets, and 2010 Short Course and Long Course state meet. LHSAA state wrestling tournaments were held at the arena in 1996 and 1998. Supercard of Honor XII of the Ring of Honor was hosted at this place on April 7, 2018.
