Folsom Field (formerly known as the Colorado Stadium) is located on the University campus of Colorado at 2400 Colorado Avenue, Boulder, Colorado. It is an outdoor football stadium that was opened 95 years ago on October 11, 1924, with a construction cost of $65,000. The stadium has a seating capacity of 50,183 at present. It is owned and operated by the University of Colorado.

The venue underwent renovations in the years 1968, 1976, and 2003 while it was expanded in the years 1956, 1967, and 2003. The original architecture of the stadium is designed by Waldo E. Brockway whereas the architecture during the renovation was designed by Sink Combs Dethlefs. This horseshoe-shaped stadium serves home to the Colorado Buffaloes (NCAA) currently. It is considered to be the third-highest stadium in major college football that is behind only Wyoming and Air Force of the Mountain West Conference. The stadium is named in honor of the coach of buffs, named, Fred Folsom.

The venue was declared as the first "zero-waste" stadium in the NCAA in the year 2008 by instituting rigorous recycling and composting programs. The stadium also hosts concerts other than sports programs. Some well-known artists that performed at the stadium include Grateful Dead, Colorado Sun Day Festival, Dave Matthews Band, Paul McCartney, Dead & Company, etc. The venue was also used by a famous 10k run, the Bolder Boulder, as the finish line. In June 1992, the first Promise Keeper stadium conference was held at the venue.

The largest crowd attendance for the CU football game recorded at the stadium was 54,972 in 2005, against in-state rival Colorado State on September 3. The largest overall crowd ever at the venue was for a rock concert in 1977 that was one of the popular Colorado Sun Day concert series.
