McMenamins Crystal Ballroom is a historic music venue located at 1332 Burnside Street, Portland, Oregon. The ballroom was initially built in 1914, with a seating capacity of 1,000-1,500. It was owned by Dad Watson but, after his death, McMenamins bought the venue and reopened it in 1997. Robert F. Tegan designed the architecture of the theater. McMenamins Crystal Ballroom is a marvel: grand chandeliers, vaulted ceilings, a famous floating dance floor, along with being listed on the National Register of Historic Places. On April 14, 2014, during a show of Schoolboy Q, the venue was evacuated due to some possible crack in the support beam.

McMenamins Crystal Ballroom hosts a wide variety of events such as dances, conventions, and charity fundraisers. It has hosted many comedians, music artists, and shows since the 1960s. In its history, the historic music venue has seen psychedelic light shows, Beat Poets, silent screen, police raids, and visits from the cherishers of some well-known artists like the Grateful Dead and Tina Turner. Some of the other famous artists that have performed here include Everclear, Modest Mouse, The Decemberists, Michael McDonald, James Brown, Robert Gray, Wailers, Gregg Allman, Billy Idol, George Clinton, Dick Dale, and Cherry Poppin Daddies. Psychedelic acts such as Blue Cheer, The Electric Prunes, and Grateful Dead performed in the venue in 1967.
