The Rooftop at Pier 17 is a part of the historic South Street Seaport located at 89 South Street, New York City, New York. At the Seaport, a tourism center and mall were built on Pier 17. The venue reconstructed in the 2010s and reopened in June 2018. It has a seating capacity of approximately 3,400 standing and 2,400 seating. Currently, it is owned and operated by Howard Hughes Corporation. SHoP Architects designed the architecture of the venue. It is an open-air venue that features unmatched views of the Brooklyn Bridge, the city skyline, and the Statue of Liberty.
In the winter season, the venue is transformed into an ice skating surface, warming station, and an incredible clear span tent-making, which makes this the perfect setting for holiday parties, fashion shows, and gala dinners.

Pier 17 has been serving as a home to a wide range of movie screenings, health and wellness events, concerts, art installations, sports events, fashion shows, comedy shows, and corporate events. It hosts The Seaport Music Festival every summer. Some notable musicians and singers that have played shows here include Kings of Leon, Passion Pit, Diana Ross, Bebe Rexha, Dap-Kings, Slash, Jon Batiste, Bebe Rexha, and the king of electronic dance music Deadmau5. Comedy shows were also hosted at the venue in 2018 by Trevor Noah and Amy Schumer. The Red Bull Music Festival was held here on May 3, 2018. Sports broadcaster ESPN opened a television and radio studio at the venue on April 2018. Pier 17 was featured as a multiplayer map in the video game Crysis 2 (2011).
