Previously known as the Chronicle Pavilion and the Concord Pavilion, the Concord Pavilion is an outdoor auditorium located in Concord California. This place has a huge lawn area and seats around 12,500 people. Surrounded by green fields, hills, the Concord Pavilion offers a great view to the public. Its renovation started in mid-1990 and was designed by the architect Frank Gehry and architect Peter Walker who designed its landscape.
In 1975, it was opened to the public. Currently, The Concord Pavilion is owned by the City of Concord and Live Nation looked after its operations. Many concerts, local high school graduations, and local community events are hosted here. Moreover, many musical acts are hosted here. The very famous Bing Crosby played his last concert here. Other celebrities who performed here are Huey Lewis and the News, Britney Spears, Dave Matthews Band, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, No Doubt, Still, Nash, Third Eye Blind, Crosby, and Young, The Backstreet Boys, and many more.
In 2006, the First Battle of the Bands for high school, middle school, and elementary school students were held in the Concord Pavilion winner was a high school band, Poster Boy.
