The Moda Center, which was formerly known as the Rose Garden, is located at 1 North Center Court Street, Portland, Oregon, United States. It is a primary indoor sports arena with a full name, Moda Center at the Rose Quarter. The venue has a seating capacity of 19,393 for Basketball, 18,280 for Ice Hockey, 20,500 Centerstage, 15,000 End stage, and 6,500 for Theatre of the Clouds. It has over 14,000 permanent seats arranged in two bowls along with featuring 70 Suites and 8 Skyboxes each with a seating capacity of 22 guests. There is a unique feature included, which is known as the acoustical cloud. It is not found in any other multi-purpose arena. It recreates the roar of noise that made the old Coliseum one of the loudest buildings in the NBA.

The arena is designed by architecture firm Ellerbe Becket. After the survey of local architects and planners by the Portland Tribune, the building of the venue was listed among the five ugliest buildings in the city.

This place was opened to the public on October 12, 1995, with a construction cost of $262 million. The venue serves host to ice hockey, rodeos, circuses, conventions, basketball, ice shows, concerts, lacrosse, and dramatic productions. The arena is under the ownership of Vulcan Inc. and operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group. It is home to the Portland Trail Blazers NBA franchise, Portland Winterhawks, and the Portland State University, men's basketball team.
