Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater is one of the premier Amphitheaters that is located in the metro Atlanta area. The venue is known for hosting world-famous acts and local talent with an amazing art production state. Also known as “The Fred,” the Amphitheater is one of the best entertainment venues across the city. It has a seating capacity of 2500, which is an open-air arrangement. The Fred’s seating is unique and intimate, and it has kept both talented performers and patrons flooding the gates for over 30 years.
Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater is famous for the Summer Concert Series, which brings various national touring acts and hometown favorites to the stage. This venue was voted “Best Music Venue” by Insite Atlanta Magazine in 2018 and 2019. A fire tragically damaged the facility in 1989, and the amphitheater closed temporarily. The venue underwent a few renovations and repairs, which resulted in the site’s rebranding as “Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater.” The renovated venue was reopened in 1991, and it was named for former Peachtree City Mayor Frederick Brown Jr. due to his countless contributions to the community. Since then, the Fred has become a favorite concert venue for national and international touring acts.
