The Oakdale Theatre is originally known as the Oakdale Musical Theatre that is located at 95 South Turnpike Rd Wallingford, CT. It is a multi-purpose performance venue which was inaugurated on June 21, 1954, with a construction cost of 150,000. The theater underwent renovations in the year 1961, 1972, and 1994. The architecture of the venue was designed by Rothman, Rothman & Heineman Architects. The theater is also known as The Dome at Oakdale as it consists of an auditorium and is domed. It is under the ownership of the Live Nation.

During its inaugural season, the theatre hosted many famous plays such as Kiss Me, Kate, South Pacific, and Oklahoma!. Currently, it is a music venue that hosted performers like Brooks & Dunn, The Who, The Doors, Paul Anka, Tom Jones, Led Zeppelin, along with the Westbury Music Fair act.
