The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) (formerly known as Loew’s State Theatre and Palace Concert Theatre) is a theatre that can be used for multiple purposes. The theatre is located at 220 Weybosset Street, Providence, Rhode Island, United States. The place was built in 1928 by Rapp and Rapp.

The very first film produced by the theatre was Excess Baggage, starring William Haines. The premiere of the first 3-D movie Bwana Devil was featured at this theatre. The theatre hosted concerts more than the film during the years 1950 and 1972 when it was operated under the name of Loew’s Theatre. Between 1972 and 1975, the theatre was known as the Palace Concert Theater where it was primarily used for rock concerts. The Palace Concert Theater hosted The Kinks, Van Morrison, Lou Reed, Jackson Browne, Fleetwood Mac, and Bee Gees in the year 1973-1974. The King Crimson band recorded their song “Providence” during their 1974 concert at the venue. In 1999, the theatre was remodeled completely. It got a considerable expansion to host Broadway Productions and Orchestra Performances.
