A beautiful theatre, Cape Cod Melody tent is owned by South Shore Playhouse Associates-owned tent theatre which is located in Hyannis, Massachusetts in the Barnstable County. From the late 1950s to 1965, this place was owned by the David M. Holtzmann and who was a theatrical attorney and Gertrude Lawrence who was an actress. After their death, Cape Cod Melody Tent was looked after by his widow Sondra. From 1950-1951, this place was known as Cape Cod Music Circus.
 
It was in 1990 that this place was purchased by the South Shore Playhouse Associates. After that, Cape Cod Melody Tent has seen many upgrades which include a new stage, new vinyl tent, a cupola venting system, sound systems, new seats, and computerized lighting. Now, it is associated with South Shore Music Circus.
 
Currently, these are only two operating theatres in the United States. From May to September, events are organized with great passion and zeal. South Shore Playhouse Associates owned and looked after all the operations of the Music Circus and Melody Tent. This place house about 2300 people. It’s been more than six decades; this place has been wowing audiences with its widely recognized acts and organized seating. Summertime air has made it a destination for people from all over the world.
