E.J. Thomas Hall is a concert and cultural center located within the University of Akron Campus at Hill Street, Akron, Ohio. It is home to the Akron Symphony Orchestra, Tuesday Musical Association, Children’s Concert Society, and Akron Youth Symphony. It has a seating capacity of approximately 2,955 people. The center was open for the general public in October 1975. It is owned and operated by the University of Akron. The New York Times Architectural critic, Ada Huxtable, has noted the E.J. Hall as one of the most beautiful and flexible performance halls in the world. Caudill Rowlett, Scott of Houston and Dalton, Van Dijk, Johnson, and Partners of Cleveland collective designed the architecture of E.J. Thomas Hall.

The theater hosts a variety of entertainment events such as concerts, stage performances, community fundraising activities, Broadway series, University Forum Speakers series, musical events, and much more. West Side Story, Spring Gala 2019, Gospel Meets Symphony, Home for the Holiday, Sheherazade, Underwater Bubble Show, Big Bad Voodo Daddy Show, and Disney Junior Dance Party are some of the mesmerizing events performed at E.J. Thomas Hall. Dean Blizzard, Gospel, Leonard Bernstein, and Lawrence Brownlee are few of the famous artists who have performed at the venue.
