Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City is a casino hotel located in the marina district of Atlantic City, New Jersey. The venue is owned by Vici Properties and operated by Caesars Entertainment. Harrah’s is the largest hotel in New Jersey. It opened for the public on November 22, 1980, with 506 rooms in a hotel tower. It is now known as the Coastal Tower. Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City was the fifth casino that opened after the legalization of gambling. The new all-suite Atrium Tower was opened in 1986.

In 2008, The Waterfront Tower opened along with a new spa and pool. The hotel tower is also the tallest building of Atlantic City that is 525 feet tall. The surface of the tower displays varying digital images. The 450 Bayview rooms/suits underwent renovation in November 2016. There is a variety of restaurants opened inside Harrah’s, both for casual and fine dining. A Broadway by the Bay Theater opened on December 31, 1980, with a seating capacity of 800. This is where Jey Leno and Debbie Reynolds performed their inaugural shows.

The rooms of the Harrah’s featured many properties in Lake Tahoe and Reno, including Suzanne Somers, Shecky Greene, Marilyn McCoo, The Oak Ridge Boys, Andy Williams, Sammy Davis Jr. Professional boxing events frequently have been held in the theater. The room was remodeled in 2007 to feature theater-styling seating, where 400 seats were added. Headliners that have appeared at the venue include Patti LaBelle, Penn & Teller, and Ron White.
