Kravis Center - Dreyfoos Hall
The Wiz
The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, commonly known as the Kravis Center, is located at 701 Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach, Florida. The arena was opened for the public on September 19, 1992. It has a seating capacity of around 2,195 at Dreyfoos Hall, 305 at Rinker Playhouse, and 291 at Persson Hall. The arena is owned by the private, not-for-profit corporation. The architecture of the theater was designed by Eberhard Zeidler.
Performers and speakers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Burt Reynolds, and Lily Tomlin took their part in the grand opening day of Kravis Center. The Kravis Center hosts hundreds of events every year where big stars and celebrities do come and perform to entertain the audience. Around 2 million schoolchildren have played in this arena since its inauguration. Not only this, but it already opened its doors to the minorities, community groups, and thousands of the economically disadvantaged senior citizens. The Kravis Center became the first performing arts center in the world that installed a custom-designed organ. This happened in March 2016, and all the funding for this project was given by Alexander W. Dreyfoos.
