Norfolk Scope Arena is used as a multi-function complex located at 201 East Brambleton Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia. The arena was opened to the general public on November 12, 1971, It has a seating capacity of around 8,701 for Ice Hockey, 10,253 for Basketball, and 13,800 people can be seated during a concert. The arena is owned and operated by the City of Norfolk. The architecture of the venue was designed by Pier Luigi Nervi and Williams and Tazewell.

The venue hosts hundreds of sporting and other events every year. To date, the arena is used as a home venue to Old Dominion Monarchs of NCAA. They used this facility in the years 1977-1990 as a full-time venue and 1971-2002 as their part-time venue. The arena has also facilitated Norfolk Nighthawks of AF2 (2002-2003), Norfolk Sharx of MISL (2011-2012), Norfolk Admirals of AHL (2002-2015), Virginia Squires of ABA (1971-1976), and Norfolk Admirals of ECHL (2015-Present).

The arena has hosted some popular shows including family shows, conventions, concerts, etc. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus were also held at the venue where a bear escaped and ran away from its cage.
