MAD Amphitheater (Murphy Arts District Amphitheater) is an outdoor venue that hosts various events such as music festivals, concerts, films, and seasonal farmers’ markets. The Amphitheater is located in El Dorado, Arkansas. It is a spacious lawn that is open daily and offers multiple activities. People visit the venue for family picnics, sun-basking, or book reading. The authorities’ main goal is to the city of El Dorado with creative outlets to explore art, food, music, dance, and theater. The venue was founded in 2011 under the leadership of Roger Brooks.

MAD Amphitheater is under the El Dorado Festivals & Events company that has a mission to create the “Festival City of the South!” which embraces the spirit of Southern arts and culture. The leadership looks forward to engaging new economic opportunities for the city with the help of an Arts & Entertainment District. The MAD Amphitheater has much more in store after the renovation of the McWilliams building and Rialto Theater. The two venues are exciting new additions to the concert and event spaces.

For the past four years, El Dorado Festivals & Events has created a new Arts & Entertainment District, the Murphy Arts District, in downtown El Dorado. Intending to provide endless fun and immersive ways that hold true to the people and the culture of El Dorado, the MAD Amphitheater is achieving its mission.
