Chaifetz Arena is one of the best multi-purpose arenas, which is located at 1 South Compton Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri. The construction of the arena started on August 28, 2006, and it was opened for the public on April 10, 2008. In 2007, a Chicago-based businessman "Richard Chaifetz" donated $13 million. For this reason, the university named the arena in honor of the donor. The Chaifetz Arena is owned by the Saint Louis University and operated by the Spectra by Comcast Spectacor. The venue has a seating capacity of around 10,600 people at a time.
The architect of the arena was designed by Sink Combs Dethlefs Mackey Mitchell Associates. The very first event which was hosted at the venue was a game between Washington Generals against the Harlem Globetrotters. This event took place on April 11, 2008. The very first concert at the arena happened on April 25, 2008, which was performed by Barry Manilow. The first commencement ceremony of St. Louis University was held in this arena on May 17, 2008. It was the university's first commencement ceremony in 60 years. On July 21, 2018, WWE held its first show at this venue.
