Cuthbert Amphitheatre is a beautiful concert venue located at 2300 Leo Harris Pkwy, Eugene, Oregon. It was inaugurated in the year 1982. The venue has a seating capacity of approximately 5,000. The architecture of the venue was designed by Gerald McDonnell and Associates. Later on, renovations design were completed by Dougherty Landscape Architects. The renovations include concrete and block walls, the raised lawn, ornamental plantings, handrails, and lighting. The facility is under the ownership of the City of Eugene, Oregon, Cultural Services Division. It features a superb sound, food booths, beer gardens, and an environment perfect for enjoying music performed live by the famous touring bands in the country.
Cuthbert Amphitheatre hosted its first concert in 1983. Superstar acts like Slightly Stoopid, Adventure Club, Weird Al Yankovic, Disclosure, along with several others have brought the house down with jaw-dropping performances. World-class singers, musicians, and bands that have graced the stage of the venue with their live performances include; Rebelution, Blues, Suicide Boys, Joe Russo, Slander, Parliament-Funkadelic members, George Clinton, Steppenwolf, Air Force band, Bonnie Raitt, Zeds Dead, Tower of Power Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Floydian Slips. KZEL radio hosted an eight-hour inaugural event, “96 Rocks for Parks,” featuring eight local bands at the venue.
