The Toyota Amphitheatre often changed its names previously as the Sacramento Valley Amphitheatre, AutoWest Amphitheatre, and Sleep Train Amphitheatre. It is an outdoor amphitheater located between the Plumas Lake and Wheatland at 2677 Forty Mile Road, Wheatland, CA, Sacramento Valley. Its ground was shattered in September 1999 and opened to the general public on June 10, 2000. The venue has a seating capacity of around 18,500. The amphitheater is owned by Live Nation Entertainment. The architecture of the Toyota Amphitheatre was designed by Heller Manus Architects, with a construction cost of $25 million.
The most popular genre played at the venue is rock and country. Some notable yet world-known artists who performed at the amphitheatre include; Aaron Carter, Iron Maiden, Poison, Aerosmith, Jimmy Page, Red Hot Chili Peppers, B.B King, Santana, Backstreet Boys, Blink-182, Kiss, Keith Urban, Sting, The Who, Journey, Coldplay, Matchbox Twenty, Counting Crows, Third Eye Blind, Thomas Rhett, Dave Matthews Band, Tim McGraw, OneRepublic, Tom Petty, the Heartbreakers, and many others. Around 100 concerts are presented by the venue to date.
