Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort is located in Maricopa, 39 miles south of Phoenix, Arizona. The resort is owned by the Ak-Chin Indian Community and operated by Caesars Entertainment. It opened for the public on December 27, 1994. There are many facilities within the venue, such as video poker, slot machines, keno, and blackjack. The venue also has the only World Series of Poker room in Arizona. A newly renovated bingo hall is also part of Ak-Chin Casino Resort.

The casino underwent an expansion in July 2011 that cost around $20 million. An additional hotel tower of 152 rooms was constructed that doubled its capacity. Another expansion was done later on where a 12-story hotel tower was included as well, as it brought 200 new rooms that are now 529 in total right now.

Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort opened with an 18,000 square foot entertainment hall in 2019. A variety of musical bands are featured there. The resort also includes several notable restaurants, including The Range Steakhouse, The Buffet at Harrah’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Copper Cactus Grill, and Agave’s Restaurant. There is also an outdoor pool which included a large spa and a swim-up bar.

Arizona Business Magazine and BestCompanies AC have named Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort as “2010 Most Admired Company.” The facility was also ranked by Phoenix Business Journal as one of the “Best Places to Work in the Valley” in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.
