The Hangout Music Festival, or Hangout Fest or just Hangout, is a three-day music extravaganza every year on Gulf Shores, Alabama's beautiful white sand beaches. At opposite ends of the beach, you'll find the Hangout Stage and the Surf Stage, the primary stages. The Boom Boom Tent and other attractions are also there.

Typically, the Festival is held on the third weekend of May. This beach festival is the city's first big musical event. Although the 2013 event also sold out, it could not match the "rapid sellout" of general admission tickets from the prior year. 2014 saw an increase in ticket sales from 35,000 to 40,000. Before 2014, only festival security and artists were given access to the Gulf of Mexico.

Goldenvoice, producers of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, formed a partnership to create Hangout Fest in 2015. The fastest-ever sellout occurred in 2020, when the Festival was set to take place from May 14th to the 16th, 2021. But in March 2020, the City of Gulf Shores informed Hangout that the epidemic would prevent the Festival from happening. Those who could not make it to the rescheduled event were given the option to transfer or receive a full refund.
