Andrew John Hozier-Byrne (March 17, 1990) is an Irish singer, songwriter, and musician. He is professionally known as Hozier. He was born in Newcastle, County Wicklow. The blues, soul, and gospel are the primary influences on his music. Hozier frequently writes about spiritual and literary issues. With the release of his debut single, "Take Me to Church," which has since gone on to be certified multi-platinum in several additional countries, he found success on a global scale.

Hozier, who spent his formative years in County Wicklow, Ireland, dropped his debut EP in 2013. The track "Take Me to Church" quickly became a top ten rock radio smash in the United States and even made it to number two on the Billboard Hot 100. His self-titled debut album was released in the fall of 2014 and received widespread acclaim. It's been awarded platinum certification in several nations, including 6x platinum in Ireland.

The title track from his September 2018 EP, Nina Cried Power, was released as a single and quickly climbed to the top of the Billboard Adult Alternative Songs chart. His second album, 2019's Wasteland, Baby!, debuted at number one on the Irish Albums Chart and the Billboard 200. It was also certified gold in the United States. His third studio album, Unreal Unearth, came out via Rubyworks on August 18, 2023.
