Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax (April 15, 1994) is an American rapper and singer. He is professionally known as Jacquees. He was born in Decatur, Georgia. Jacquees first crossed paths with Corey Battle in 2007. Before meeting Russell "Block" Spencer, C.E.O. and founder of Block Entertainment, he changed managers and began performing in several talent events. As a production team member, Jacquees worked at several different recording facilities. R&B was not Block's interest; he solely played rap.

Independently released on March 25, 2014, Jacquees's second extended play (E.P.) 19 peaked at number fifteen on the U.S. Billboard Top R&B Albums chart upon its debut. Chris Brown, Lloyd, Rich Homie Quan, and Trinidad James are among the guests on the eleven-track E.P. After inking a recording contract with Cash Money Records, Jacquees made the announcement public on October 1, 2014. His May 2016 E.P., Lost at Sea, included labelmate Birdman. 

"B.E.D.," his 2016 single, peaked at 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 and catapulted him to mainstream success. His 2019 November album, King of R&B, was his second studio effort. The album's initial position on the Billboard 200 chart was number twenty. According to Pitchfork, Jacquees's vocals blended nicely with his collaborators and seemed "well-rounded" throughout the album. On the heels of the album's release in 2020, Jacquees set out on the King of R&B Tour.
