Russell James Vitale (September 26, 1992), better known by his stage name Russ, is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Secaucus, New Jersey. After releasing eleven self-released albums, Vitale secured a recording contract with Columbia Records to release his twelfth studio album, There's Really a Wolf (2017).

The thirteenth and fourteenth albums that he released Shake the Snow Globe (2020) and Zoo (2018), both reached their greatest position on the US Billboard 200 list at no. 4. The latter album was the source of his song, which achieved The Highest chart position, "Best on Earth" (which included Bia). In addition to his work as a solo artist, he is a member of the hip-hop ensemble Diemon, which is based in Atlanta.

When Russ announced his departure from Columbia Records on June 30, 2020, he revealed that he had finished his contract with the label and was now working as an independent artist. He released an extended play (EP) titled Chomp on November 17, 2020. For example, Black Thought, Busta Rhymes, Benny the Butcher, and Ab-Soul are among the artists who make cameos on this album as special guests.

Chomp 2 is the title of a new extended play (EP) Russ announced on November 18, 2021. Chomp 2 is the sequel to Chomp, which was released the previous year. Developed by Russ My Way Inc., the project was made available to the public on December 8, 2021.
