The Arizona State Sun Devils are the men's basketball team from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, the US. At the moment, the school's squad is playing in Pac-12 play.

The Sun Devils of Arizona State have made 17 appearances in the NCAA tournament, reaching the Sweet 16 three times (1961, 1963, 1975). In addition to seven appearances in the final AP rankings, they have won eight conference titles (four from the WAC and four from the Border Conference). 

The Sun Devils' best national ranking came in 2017–18 under Bobby Hurley and 1980–81 under Ned Wulk, when the starting lineup featured Alton Lister, Fat Lever, and future NBA great Byron Scott.

Pandemic conditions also led to canceling the 2020 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. Even though the NCAA didn't announce seedings for the postponed tournament, Joe Lunardi of ESPN's "Bracketology" at the end of the season had the Sun Devils pegged as the 9th seed.

With 16 appearances, the Sun Devils have been to the NCAA tournament. They have 14-17 records (12-16). After ASU's 1995 NCAA tournament run (two wins and a loss), the NCAA voided the team's eligibility.
