The Orpheum Theatre is a historic Chicago-based theatre which is located at Broadway Street, Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. The theatre was first opened to the general public on September 4, 1992. It is currently under the ownership of a non-profit Orpheum Performing Arts Centre LTD while operated by the International Venue Management firm SMG. The venue has a seating capacity of 1,286 people at a time. Its rich architecture was designed by renowned theatre architect, John Ebesson, in late 19th and 20th-century Revivals and atmospheric style. The theatre was designated as a historic landmark in 1978 by the City of Wichita. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The theatre has been under constant renovation over decades due to repeated closing and abandonment. Fortunately, it is renovated in the most modern way preserving its historical beauty and essence simultaneously. The latest renovation was done in the year 2015.

The venue serves home to over 100 shows annually from all genres of entertainment including films, concerts, theatre, family shows, film festivals, annual film series, comedy shows, live acts, stage shows, dance performances, and much more. The venue was first to show D.W. Griffith's Birth of a Nation and hosted the Kansas premiere of Gone with the Wind in the year 1940. Some popular events that were and are hosted by the theater include Miranda's live concert, Puddles pity party, the annual Tallgrass Film Festival and much more.
