David Bisbal Ferré (June 5, 1979) is a Spanish singer who rose to prominence following his appearance on the first season of the reality TV talent program Operación Triunfo. Born and bred in Almería, Bisbal's musical career began as the main vocalist of the neighborhood band Orquesta Expresiones. He tried out for TVE's Operación Triunfo in 2001; he became a fan favorite and came second after Rosa López.

His involvement in the program resulted in his studio debut, the hit Corazón Latino (2002). After selling more than a million copies, Bisbal received diamond status and his first Latin Grammy in the category of Best New Artist from the album's great popularity. Establishing Bisbal as a significant player in Latin pop music, he followed up with Bulería (2004), another explosive effort topped the charts in his own Spain and Latin America.

The singer continued to succeed with subsequent albums, Tú y yo (2014) and Hijos del Mar (2017), both platinum-certified in multiple countries.
