Gregory Porter (November 4, 1971) is an American actor, singer, and songwriter born in Sacramento, California. He won the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2014 for Liquid Spirit and in 2017 for Take Me to the Alley.

Porter signed with Blue Note Records (under Universal Music Group) on May 17, 2013, following the release of his albums Water (2010) and Be Good (2012) on the Motéma label. He co-founded this label with Membran Entertainment Group. The European release of his third album, Liquid Spirit, occurred on September 2, 2013, while the American release occurred on September 17, 2013.

Brian Bacchus was the album's producer, and it won the 2014 Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album. Liquid Spirit broke into the top 10 in the UK album charts in a remarkable feat for jazz albums. The BPI granted it gold after selling over 100,000 copies in the UK.

Porter's album, All Rise, was his sixth studio effort. Porter's greatest hits CD, Still Rising: The Collection was published on the Blue Note label on November 5, 2021. The next day, he appeared on The Graham Norton Show and sang "Revival."

Along with the London Community Gospel Choir, Porter sang a new song titled "A Life Lived with Grace," written especially for the occasion of the lighting of The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Beacons on June 2, 2022. Porter, TSHA, and Ellie Goulding released their joint track "Somebody" on September 14, 2023.
