This American Folk duo hails from the state of South Carolina. This duo started when Cary Ann Hearst, the vocalist, and percussionist, born in Mississippi moved to Charleston to attend her college. She is a born- performer, rose quickly through the restaurant and pub scene, and in one of her shows in 2002 met Michael Trent, the Denver born guitarist and vocalist who was performing with his band "The Films." They started jamming and touring together with other big names in the scene and found out that they complement each other both musically and also in life. They both got well established as multi-instrumentalists and vocalists in a short period, and released her first solo album Dust and Bones in 2006 and Trent released his first album in 2007, which was a self-titled album.
