Stephen Lee Bruner (October 19, 1984) is an American musician, record producer, musician, and songwriter. She was born in LA and raised in Compton and some other parts of Los Angeles. Bruner learned to play the bass young by listening to bassists like Marcus Miller and Stanley Clarke. He was a part of the boy band No Curfew at 15, and the group had a modest hit in Germany.

In addition to his collaboration with producer Flying Lotus and his participation in Kendrick Lamar's album To Pimp a Butterfly, he first gained recognition as a member of the crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies. Since then, he has released four solo studio albums.

In addition to his band obligations, Bruner works as a session musician, earning praise for his contributions to the albums New Amerykah (2008) by Erykah Badu and Cosmogramma (2010) by Flying Lotus. The two performed their joint song, "What's the Use?," during Miller's Tiny Desk Concert on August 6, 2018, with Bruner on bass. He worked with the fictional band Gorillaz on their single "Cracker Island" in 2022, which served as both the lead single and the album's title track. The track was made available on April 30, 2022.

He makes a cameo as a "Mod Artist" in The Book of Boba Fett's fourth episode in 2022. The song "No More Lies," which he co-wrote with Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, was released in April 2023. Thundercat confirmed the beginning of his In Yo Girl's City Tour after "No More Lies" was released. It started on August 5 in Newport, Rhode Island, and ended on November 14, 2023, in Santiago, Chile.
