The Eagles is an American rock band. The group's current lineup consists of Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Vince Gill, Timothy B. Schmit, and Deacon Frey. Beginning in early 1971, the Eagles were formed when Linda Ronstadt and her manager, John Boylan, enlisted the help of local musicians Glenn Frey and Don Henley. Eagles (1972) was their first album, and it yielded two hit singles in the United States and Canada: "Take It Easy" and "Witchy Woman."

The Eagles have sold over 200 million albums worldwide, with over 100 million of those being sold in the United States. The Eagles' music has been called "California rock". This term describes their blend of styles from the 1960s, a mix of rhythm, blues, soul, bluegrass, and rock. The remainder of the Hotel California Tour had to be postponed in 2020 after only ten gigs because of the pandemic. The tour resumed the following year, 2021, with concerts all over North America from August to November.

The band later revealed they would be touring the United States and Europe in 2022. Deacon Frey announced his departure from the band on April 6, 2022, on their official Facebook page. The Long Goodbye Tour, the band's farewell tour, was announced on July 6, 2023.
