The University of Virginia's men's basketball program competes on an intercollegiate level as the Virginia Cavaliers. This institution is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division I Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Three ACC tournament championships, one NCAA championship, and two NITs have all gone to Virginia. Tony Bennett is the head coach, and the on-campus John Paul Jones Arena, completed in 2006 and can hold 14,623 spectators, is where the club plays its home games.
