Fereydun Robert Armisen is an American musician, producer, writer, actor, and comedian. Armisen co-created and starred in the IFC sketch comedy series Portlandia with Carrie Brownstein. Along with Bill Hader and Seth Meyers, he co-created and stars in the mockumentary IFC series, Documentary Now! (2015-present), and he co-created and stars in the comedy series Moonbase 8 (2020-present) on Showtime with John C. Reilly and Tim Heidecker. On The Looney Tunes Show, he provided the voice of Speedy Gonzales (2011–2013). Armisen is the conductor and frequent drummer for the Late Night with Seth Meyers house band, The 8G Band, and he also developed ThunderAnt.com, a website that features the comic routines created with Brownstein. Armisen has appeared in several comedic films, including Melvin Goes to Dinner (2003), Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo (2005), The Ex (2006), and The Dictator (2007). (2012). His guest-starring roles on Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Last Man on Earth, Difficult People, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Broad City, and other shows have made him a household name.
