Curtis James Jackson III (July 6, 1975) is an American businessman, rapper, actor, and television producer. He is professionally known by his stage name, 50 Cent. He was born in New York City. His first album for a major label, 2003's Get Rich or Die Tryin', sold exceptionally well. Singles "In da Club" and "21 Questions" from the album peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. 50 Cent has received multiple honors and has sold over 30 million records globally.

Jackson took the reins as executive producer in 2020 for the debut album by the late rapper Pop Smoke, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, for whom Jackson was a significant source of inspiration. On July 3, 2020, the album finally saw release.

He was officially cast as one of the Expend4bles in August of 2021. He was a featured performer at the Riviera Maya music event Golden Sand in 2021. Starz's "Black Mafia Family" follows the lives of two brothers who conducted a drug trafficking and money-laundering organization in Detroit from the '80s until 2005; and premiered in the fall of 2021. The show is based on actual events. Jackson is the executive producer of this show.

According to Billboard's "50 Greatest Rappers" list (2023), 50 Cent is the seventeenth-best rapper of all time and the sixth-best musician of the 2000s. Get Rich or Die Tryin' and "In da Club" were named 37th and 13th on Rolling Stone's "100 Best Albums of the 2000s" and "100 Best Songs of the 2000s," respectively.
