Artist Julius Dubose (December 6, 1995) is an American singer, songwriter, and rapper. He is professionally known by his stage name, A Boogie wit da Hoodie. He was born in New York City. Dubose started honing his craft by refining his original rhymes and learning how to transition from one idea to the next smoothly. He went as far as setting up a makeshift recording studio in his flat. After finishing high school, Dubose pursued his passion for music while working in the construction and pizza delivery industries. "King of My City" is the third single from Artist 2.0, released via Dubose on January 31, 2020. In its first week of release, it reached No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100. On Valentine's Day in 2020, Artist 2.0 was released to the public, his third full-length album. Since Dubose's first Artist album was also released on Valentine's Day in 2016, and since it was his daughter's third birthday, he decided to release Artist 2.0 on that day. At the close of 2022, Dubose promoted his Me vs. Myself Tour, which kicked up in February of the following year. There was a rapid sellout. He gave concerts in the Barclays Center, the Coca-Cola Coliseum, and the Alexandra Palace throughout North America and Europe. After playing at major festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and more this year, he went back on tour in June for a run throughout Canada.
