Amy Lee Grant (November 25, 1960) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter born in Augusta, Georgia. Grant first appeared in the public eye as a teenager and rose to prominence in the Christian music scene of the 1980s with the release of songs like "El Shaddai," "Father's Eyes," and "Angels." After the success of the albums Unguarded and Lead Me On in the mid-1980s, she began to attract a wider audience. Eventually, she became one of the first CCM performers to enter mainstream pop. Grant was hurt and admitted to the hospital for a short time on July 27, 2022, when she fell from her bike while riding near the Harpeth Hills Golf Course in Nashville.
