Barry Manilow (June 17, 1943) is an American singer and songwriter born in New York City. He wed Susan Deixler for a brief period after meeting her in high school. He attended the City University of New York for a semester before transferring to the prestigious New York Conservatory of Music. While in school, he worked at CBS to help cover his costs. After that, he went to Juilliard to major in musical theater.

Barry Manilow became a star in 1974 when his song “Mandy” reached number one on the charts. It was a soft and emotional ballad that made a big impact. Soon after, he released other big songs like “Copacabana” and “I Write the Songs.” His music mixes pop with soft rock and often tells stories about love and life. His smooth voice and catchy melodies helped him stand out. In the 1970s and 1980s, he became one of the most popular singers in the world.

Some cities he will visit are Pittsburgh on May 23, Philadelphia on May 24, Boston on May 28, and Montreal on May 30. He will also perform in Seattle on July 12, Portland on July 16, and San Jose on July 20. Along with the tour, he is still doing his Las Vegas residency at the Westgate Resort, where fans can see him live all year.
