Black Pumas is an American psychedelic soul band from Austin. The current lineup of the group consists of Eric Burton and Adrian Quesada. Black Pumas, the group's debut album, was released on June 21, 2019. The 2019 Austin Music Awards named them "Best New Band," and they went on to perform at South by Southwest.

They were nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys on November 20, 2019. After debuting on CBS This Morning, Black Pumas played "Colors" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and recorded an episode of season 45 of Austin City Limits.

During the Presidential Inauguration festivities in January 2021, Vice President-elect Joe Biden invited the Black Pumas to play on his primetime special, Celebrating America. The band had to give a virtual performance because of the pandemic. At the 20th Annual Americana Honors & Awards, held in September 2021, Black Pumas won Duo/Group of the Year.

Black Pumas were nominated for two awards at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, held on November 23, 2021. They received two Rock category nominations. They now have a total of six nominations for Grammys. Both their album Capitol Cuts (Live from Studio A) and their performance of "Know You Better (Live From Capitol Studio A)" were nominated for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance, respectively.
